Title: AyeTides XL
#1
AyeTides XL, specifically for the iPad, is now available on the App Store. It features:
  • A map to aid in station selection. This is the only part of the app that needs a net connection, although you can load the map with the region you're interested in and then view it off-line - it just won't update. The map has station clusters which you can click on to see the list of stations in the cluster, and tide and current stations. The map can show nearby stations, as the app uses the GPS or Wi-Fi to locate your position (which can be manually entered as well).
A list of all the stations currently shown on the map.
Favorites, recents, alphabetically sorted and regionally organized station lists, for quickly locating stations.
A tide clock on the portrait view, along with the current value.
Also on the portrait view is a two-day listing of the tides/currents, with an interactive graph. Swipe from side to side to change the date and the lists & graphs slide in and out.
On the landscape view you have a calendar of the month; tap a date to get additional information, including an interactive graph, astronomical information (including all modes of twilight, civil, nautical, and astronomical), sun rise/set, moon rise/set, and percent of moon visible.

I'm glad to finally get this out the door. Many thanks for everyone who helped with testing the new app! I couldn't have done it without you.
