The Navionics charts for B.C. using MacENC are the best value. The Canadian raster charts (CHS charts) are updated more frequently but cost several times more, and the raster charts just aren't as 'user friendly', in my opinion. All these are available from X-Traverse.
Also make sure you understand you can't share charts between the iPad and Mac, so you essentially have to buy a second set for the iPad, though they're significantly cheaper than the Mac version. They're the same charts and detail, though, for a lot less money.
I was up through the whole area a few weeks ago and found the G4 iPad a fabulous tool. Didn't even have my Mac with me,
