Title: Connecting a ComNav 1420
#1
I want to start using my autopilot with MacENC. So far I have only been using it with the control head from the processor.
It is nmea 0183 and the rest of my instruments are N2K.
I'm considering an iMux wireless router but I am wondering how that will work. A sales rep for the iMux said this... "The iMux accepts wifi data from MacENC or other source and outputs the auto pilot control sentences from the RS422 port at 4800 baud.".
That's fine but what about my GPS (Garmin 19x HVS (N2K)).
MacENC
- supports nmea 2000
- needs a gps in order for the other instruments to be displayed
So what happens if I convert my GPS to 0183 for the autopilot to use? Won't I lose all my instruments in MacENC?
