Title: Play problems with Grib file in GPSNavX
#1
Gribs seem to be a popular discussion item now...

I downloaded a grib file from Grib.us and it openned fine in both MacENC and GPSNavX. However, when I use the play function to annimate, it does not play in chronological order - several date/times play out of sequence, only in GPSNavX. It plays fine in MacENC. In the Grib pop-down window these times are also out of sequence in GPSNavX but not in MacENC. Is this a problem with the application or the grib file?

Forgot to add that I've downloaded gribs using the 'get grib' in both applications and they did not have any problem. Ditto with sending an email query to saildocs to get the gribs. It's only this one file from Grib.us that creates a problem.

That is a bug in grib.us production of the grib file. The grib data records should be in chronological order. The last release of MacENC, version 4.00 addressed this issue by sorting the grib data records in chronological order. That solution will go into the next release of GPSNavX.

Thanks - that's sort of what I was guessing. I'll let them know, though I suspect they're already aware.
