Title: How about a wiki
#1
In the forums there is huge amout of information but to find the information needed it takes some time to browse all the posts that might have some interesting information. If we are active enough there might be possibility to collect all "known facts" and other things to wiki so that newbies could perhaps better find the basics and solution on some problems.

Some basic on

- what mac to use
- what software to use for what purpose
- what other hardware
- how to power mac on board

..maybe

Or is there somewhere these basics and I just happened to miss those

MacMap has one with some overlap

http://macmap.pbwiki.com/

Much of the information about GPSNavX and MacENC can be found in the help which is accessed on the "Help" menu or here..

Great idea. I've been thinking about this for a while.

I'm got the week off this week  and have been sailing. However I'm back home tomorrow, and will look at setting up an instance of Tikiwiki.

I'll send out the URL once it's set up. (just need to get it using authentication from the phpBB database)
Never knowingly overcanvassed!
