Not for nothing, but it would be nice if the loyal customers who have paid for the old app would get some kind of thank you for their financial support and for submitting suggestions that (hopefully) are helpful to the developers.
I totally agree.
I know that you've put a lot of time into the new program and you deserve compensation.
However, when I bought MacGPS nearly two years ago, I asked if you would support the NOAA charts with it. You said yes, and I think even stated that support was forthcoming on a couple of occasions, never mentioning a new program at twice the cost.
I understand that it had to become another program and take much more work.
BUT, I do feel you owe your adopters of MacGPS a less expensive upgrade than full-price for the above reasons. I also think offering it on a less expensive basis, perhaps without the charts as an upgrade would tempt current users to upgrade. Right now I'm not going to change, there isn't any reason to. And I feel a little let down by your lack of consideration to a loyal installed user base.
