Title: Recommend GPS?
#1
I need to buy a new handheld GPS. I have a fixed Garmin 126 at the chart table, iNavX on the iPhone 3G and a GU-353 for MacENC on the MacBook. But my old Garmin GPS V II that I used in the cockpit died last week. I want a simple, waterproof/resistant unit to replace it. And as a back up to the GU-353, I would like to get one that will work with MacENC without having to use a Keyspan adaptor. Any suggestions?

Hi Ron,

have you got any answers to your reply or found the right device? Because I have the same question.

Arwed,

Sorry for the delay; I have been busy and not checking this site.

I did get some information from MacENC; however I can't find it and I have forgotten what was suggested. It was a Garmin and I think it was any of the 78 Series.

Cheers,
