This summer I went in Red Sea, for a 15 days diving cruise. The boat was of course equiped by Egyptians. I had bought for a modest sum the Navionics Africa chart for iPhone and, so, I had much more nautical information than the captain who was really bluffed! Quite all coral reefs we explored were plotted on the chart and the coupling of application with the iPhone built-in GPS turned out to be very efficient.
