I never had a problem transferring routes and waypoints from GPSNavX to my Garmin 12/76/128. I just bought a Garmin 440s and after reading the manual bought an SD card and read/writer to transfer files. I've tried all three formats and while the 440 says it's received the information the routes are not there.

I've searched the site and found something about a .adm format for Garmin, but no real solution for the problem. Has anyone figured this out?

The 440s is much too small for route planning, I just want to use my iBook for this.

I have the Navionics 32XG, Australia chart on iPhone 3G S. The soundings are in feet (The annotations; dredged depths and the like are in metres!). Can the soundings be changed to metres?

A new synchronized version of all our applications is out. Version 1.0 brings a number of new features, primarily revolving around "live ship" navigation product conveniently named PolarIS.

PolarCOM additions include:
- Analog instruments (wind/course/heading)
- Depth/Wind/Speed throug water etc.
- Navigation items – VMG, BTN, distance/time to next/destination, XTE
- Alarms – arrival/XTE/depth/anchor drag

PolarIS is a "live" navigation application that, as many users have wisely suggested, combines PolarView and PolarCOM into a single cohesive navigation product.

Much like PolarView it supports editing routes on the chart, navigating to points on map/waypoints/along routes beginning from the start or from arbitrary route point or mid-segment.

PolarIS includes adaptive tracking mode, which helps create precise tracks while reducing memory footpring and number of track points. Traditional periodic tracking mode is also available.

Additions to PolarView include better chart handling, modifications to Grib downloader (including ability to use HTTP proxy for those users who can't connect to our servers directly) and performance improvements for chart rendering.

This is not the first time that my MBP has 'lost' BOTH ( NavX and Mac ENC) of these....I seek 'folder' and it is all 'NON highlighted' ... ie. DUH? ... blank!

Getting rather pissed off as have played by the rules.... top $$$ for Canadian raster charts, GPS Nav X and MacENC.

And it is NOT good enough for a supposedly real time Navigation software!

Changes include:

Calibration for Solteknik Swedish charts improved.
"Update Chart List" on selected Chart Regions, will delete the existing charts that have been downloaded and update the Chart List. Note: The first time this is performed for a region, the previously downloaded charts for a region will be left intact.
"Precipitation Rate" added to "Request GRIB" menu on "Forecast View".
GRIB Forecast time is in local time.
"Alpha / Dist" on the AIS Target list will sort targets alphabetically or by distance from position/tracked target.

Living, working, sailing in the southern hemisphere I'm often annoyed that default maps often cut-off at about 60 South.. if this happened in the north Much of Canada, Norway, Russia, Iceland etc.. would be chopped.

Anybody know where I can get a replacement base map that includes Antarctica to at least 85 south (85 north is typical)?

OK, in the last two versions of MacENC I'm having problems with the World Base Map loading and displaying when I start the program. It's starting to get annoying now... When I start MacENC I get a screen with a grey grid. Sometimes the World Base Map eventually loads, but it's loading less and less often. This particularly happens if the zoom is at 1:20,000,000 or maybe 1:10,000,000. If I zoom in it sometimes will appear but not always. Also, if I 'scroll to' a location at higher res that's also covered by a raster or vector chart, it will load. Bottom line is it should really load at startup like it used to, but it's not. How can I fix this? Oh, it's also VERY slow to load when it does.

Both GPSNavX and MacENC support AIS receivers and transponders. MacENC has the ability to use an AIS transponder for real-time plotting negating the need to have a separate GPS receiver interfaced. Simply select the serial port the AIS transponder is connected to in the AIS/RADAR panel Settings drawer.
