Is there a way not to have the Vessel in the middle of the screen without disconnecting the GPS? I can use "open route" but if I attempt to change the scale etc MacEnc always scrolls to the vessel position, then to make matters worst "open route" fails after using the function a few times.
I must add that after using MacENC for the last four days aboard my Newport 30 I think it's a great piece of software, particularly using my iphone as a "remote" screen. If only there was a rugged version of a MacBook available.

AyeTides 1.4 is now available on the App Store. The biggest change was to the graph view, it's now interactive - you can drag the target around the screen and the time and value will be updated below the curve. Other minor changes include the use of icons (as recommended by Apple) to the menu items, a fix for a crash when using non-English languages, and a few more stations in Europe.

Need Advice. I can upload waypoints from MacENC to the Raymarine R300 but cannot download from R300 to MacENC.
GPS is set to Other and Receive is grayed out. GPS is connected via a Ship module Multiplexer which works fine (GPS AIS and Instrument data all come in fine). I have tried switching to GPS=Furuno and Receive no longer grayed out but transfer incomplete. Anyone had similar problems?

I have a question
It's possible to reduce or control the playspeed of the grib weather forecast in MacENC. The standardspeed ist to high for me to really recognise what is happen.

I have set up a account with X-Traverse, so am I right to transfer waypoints to my iphone and iNavX I have to first export the waypoints as a GPX file and then upload them to X-traverse?
It would be nice if MacEnc had a file menu item to do all these steps? Since iNavx can be used as a "Remote" for instruments, why not directly transfer waypoints?

Hi, I am Barry and I am new to this forum, there is obviously a lot of useful information here. I have a lot of sailing experience using paper charts in the UK. I have just purchased a Newport 30, it has little electronics at the moment. I have a budget of about 4k for a suitable system which I would like to include radar, gps and hopefully AIS, and of course depth finder. I already have a new MacBook, so I don't need to purchase that. I am looking for some suggestions for a suitable setup. I am more than able to do all my own installation. (Ex RAF Electronics apprentice fitter)
