We will be chartering a canal boat in France's Brittany region in a couple of months and thought it would be fun to have charts along. Does anyone know how well the Navionics 46XG EU charts cover the canals of Brittany? Before I spend $80, I want to make sure there is decent value there. Thanks

I've been playing with a $30.00 USR-wifi232-602 adapter to run AIS from a Standard Horizon GX 2200 to INavx. It works, but only after opening a port on a PC (Open CPN). Fun to play with, and cheap...

Hi all, Just wondering if there is a plugin or way to determine optimal routes based on loaded weather/Grib files within MacENC?
It seems there are a number of PC products but little in the way of Mac-based weather routing.
Thanks for any guidance.

I have an iPad 2, with GPS and have been using the iNavX for over 3 years now and really like it. I consider myself a proficient user. I used to regularly update my apps and IOS, but have been reluctant to upgrade either the IOS or apps after the introduction go IOS 8, which I understand slows down the iPad considerably.
For several years now I have had an intermittent problem where the iPad locks rotation on the screen up mode. Eventually it fixes itself either on a cold reboot (may take several) or just with time, or I reset all options on the iPad but it is a PITA when it occurs. The ability to rotate the screen around is really important with iNavX.
I'm now pretty sure this is related to iNavX now. Suspiciously, it seems to occur when I load the iNavX app, not always or even often, but loading the app seems to be the common denominator. When that occurs, the "rotate screen" circle comes on.
Anyways, thought on this and how to correct it?
