Recommendation needed from folks world cruising..... Where do you draw the line on charts? You need to have paper charts as a back up. If you have an iphone and/or ipad you would like to have the same charts. You need charts for your MacEnc. Lastly the Garmin or Raymarine Chart plotter. Your boat bucks get pleated quickly.

How should one approach this chart overload?

No good answers here as every chart vendor wants to make a $$ off their formatting of the same government produced data. Those vendors do typically have to pay royalties to the government agencies.
