Title: Sharing the GPS (and other data) with MacENC and GPSNavX
#1
I expect the next release of MacENC will allow it to share the GPS with GPSNavX. This will allow both applications to run simaltaneously and plot the current position on their respective charts.

It will work something like this

- in GPSNavX Connect to the GPS in GPSNavX via the "Connect" on the "GPS" menu

- In MacENC choose "GPSNavX" on the "GPS" menu.

Now both apps will be using the same GPS.

Already waypoints, tracks, and routes can be shared via the tranfer "Export" and "Import" menu items on their respective menus.

Going forward I plan to allow iSync to be used for keeping waypoints, routes and tracks to be kept synched between both apps and multiple computers.

Works beautifully. One can **just** manage to display the Maptech and ENC charts next to each other on a 15" screen and watch the track be written to both.

Nice work, thanks.

Sharing the GPS works nicely. If Tracking is on in GPSNavX it is greyed out in MacENC. Is there a way to let both applications record the track simultaneously?

The next release of MacENC will support tracking even when the GPS is shared.
