I have "played with them" in the past and have noticed that many times the wind direction arrows of the grib data appear reversed.
This only seems to be an issue if you try to overlay grib data from on source and overlay it onto a "Cracked" copy of MaxSea.
Look at the basic grib and win directions before you overlay them so you know what to expect and catch any errors.
With nav programs it never pays to used a cracked version.
I found max Sea to be far too much bother and have switched to Open CPN. It is simple, easy to use, uncluttered--works great and is FREEWARE.
