(3.0.1) How do I create a route by taping on the chart?
How do I create a route using an existing waypoint but using the chart only and not having to go to the waypoint list?

To insure you have the latest version of iNavX on your device select "App Store", then select "Updates"

You're correct. My apologies. I was referring to 3.0.2 which I downloaded today. How is this done in 3.0.2?

Routes are created the same way on the chart by tapping to create a waypoint or tapping an existing waypoint and selecting the appropriate popover menu option.
I did make some significant improvements in the Route view as far add adding new waypoints with the "+" button and re-ordering with the "Edit" button

Thank you. Is there a help document that explains, in detail, all the details of using 3.0.2? I'm coming off of years of using Nobeltec VNS and am having a little trouble adjusting to iNavX and MacENC ways of doing what I was doing in the Nobeltec program.

Just the built in "Guide" or "Help" of each application. Also in the MacSailing forum there is a "Tips and Tricks" section for MacENC. I plan to set one up for iNavX also.

I've written instructions to myself as to how to do what I've been asking you about. If I don't use the program on a consistent basis, I tend to forget the details. Please approve this before you suggest anyone else in my position use it!
To create a Route on Chart:
Go to Routes.
Add Route (+).
Back to Routes.
Back to Chart (at bottom).
Tap once to create Waypoint.
Tap twice on that Waypoint to add it to route via the pop up menu.
Or:
Tap twice on an existing Waypoint to add it to route via the pop up menu.
Also, you can:
Tap once on an existing Waypoint to turn it grey and then drag it.
To create a Route in Routes Menu:
Select Routes (at bottom).
Tap Add Route (+).
Tap + (on left) to add Waypoint from Waypoint List.
Search Waypoints.
Select Waypoint and it's added to Route.
To add a Waypoint to middle of Route:
Create a Waypoint on Chart by tapping on a location.
Go to Routes.
Go to active Route.
Tap Edit.
Tap +.
Tap + next to the Waypoint you want to add a Waypoint AFTER (the + tapped Waypoint will be before the waypoint you're adding).
Select a Waypoint.
You can also select Edit and drag Waypoints to change the order of the Waypoints in the Route after you've created the route.
Also, after you've inserted a Waypoint into the Route you can:
Tap once on the Waypoint in the Chart view to turn it grey and then drag it.
