Title: Waypoint Transfer Using Storage Cards
#1
I read elsewhere on the forum that some of the Garmins use a proprietary waypoint format. http://www.macsailing.net/fbb/showtopic....5/tid/880/

What about RayMarine? Can I convert MacENC exported waypoints and write to the CF card?

I don't want to mess around with cables and moving my laptop to the chartplotter.

Any other common plotters that will allow me to plan with MacENC then transfer via the storage card?

It can be done but it's so much hassle using several applications I abandoned approach. I now transfer on NMEA. See other posts.

It's unfortunate that Raymarine does not support the open GPX or KML formats for data exchange that are very common.
