Hi
I found this interesting site for Wind and Wave informations, when reading about the storm that hit Europe today.
http://www.windfinder.com
The download page has widgets (gadgets) for OS X and Vista too.
There's even a Java version for mobile phones.
A great help are the webcams!!!
Regards,
Manou

Has anyone connected a radome directly or via some sort of black box to a MiniPlex? If so, which unit do you have and how does it work? I removed my older Furuno radar and Simrad chartplotter and do not want to purchase a new chartplotter given my Mac setup. It would be great to go straight from a new radome (Furuno, Raymarine, Si-Tex pc?) that supports NMEA data to MiniPlex and Mac. I do hope this is possible. A good deal of ferreting around on the Web has not really answered this question for me.

I have updated GPSNavX to version 4.70 over the years and have used Mr Tides X with the various updates , however I see now that version 3 will not work with the current version on my mac ibook and version of GPSNavX 4.70. Is a previous version of Mr TidesX still available for download as I no longer have it on my mac. Any resolution to my situation? Thanks .

| Don't use notMac |

This is just an FYI for everyone. I've just spent days working with a user who couldn't download the latest version of Mr. Tides. The updater didn't work, the web site failed to load, even going directly to the iDisk via the Finder failed. It only occurred on two of his machines, so I was certain that it was a local networking issue.
After a lot of troubleshooting, it turned out that he had installed notMac on those two machines (notMac being a replacement for .Mac). Somehow notMac intercepted ALL calls to the .Mac site, including web.mac.com and idisk.mac.com, and every attempt to download the file failed. Well, it failed because the file wasn't on his server, it was on Apple's. Which wasn't reachable.
Big oops!
I don't know if notMac is configurable to avoid this problem or not. For now, I'd say leave notMac alone - at least until I finally decide if I want my own domain or not.

I've briefly tested Mr. Tides 3 with Leopard and found that the moon symbols on the calendar aren't right. Full moon and new moon are all messed up, but the quarter moons are ok.
I still need to test printing. I'll do that in the next few days.
I need to figure out why the font I'm using for the moon symbols is no longer working, and select a new font. As soon as I do, and fix any other issues that might pop up, I'll post an update. I'll have to be sure it runs on Tiger still as well, which might add a day or two onto the schedule.

Untill now it is only possible to transfer routes and waypoints to garmin and magellan and "other" protocols. Would very much appreciate it if you could do the same for the Nexus Marine Nx2 hardware. If you need any help I have an intel mini onboard with the Nx2 system (GPS, Autopilot, wind, log and depth and server) so I can help with testing and getting you info on the nmea sentence needed.
